Clean the blinds: Close the blinds, then, using a warm water moistened microfibre cloth with diluted Orange Power Cleaner or All-Purpose Cleanser, start at the top of the blinds and work down, running your hand along each slat to pick up dust. Next, close the blinds in the opposite direction and repeat.

Clean ceiling fans: Turn fans off and wet dust with diluted Orange Power Cleaner or All-Purpose Cleanser.

Disinfect remote controls: Remove the batteries for charging, then wipe with a microfibre cloth slightly moistened with rubbing alcohol. Use a cotton bud moistened with alcohol to clean in between the buttons. Replace with newly charged batteries.

Clean screens: Use a clean, only very slightly damp microfibre cloth for streak free TV, tablet and phone screens. Water and devices don’t mix, however, a slightly damp microfibre cloth will pick up dirt and dust more easily.

Clean lights: Ensure lights are turned off and the bulb completely cool. Clean the bulb with a microfibre cloth lightly moistened with warm water and Multi-Surface and Glass Cleaner.

Clean the sofa: Vacuum, using upholstery fitting on cushions, in crevices and under the cushions. If throw pillows have removable, washable covers, launder according to manufacturer’s directions first and foremost. If ok to wash use Olive Laundry Liquid for Wool & Silk in a cold or 30 degree delicates wash or hand wash.

TIP: If sofa smells musty, sprinkle with baking soda, which neutralises odours and allow it to sit for 15 minutes or so before vacuuming.

Wash curtains and drapes: Use gentle and effective Olive Laundry Liquid for Wool & Silk to wash curtains in a delicate wash or hand wash. Follow manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning drapes.

Clean windowsills and tracks: Spray liberally with Multi-Surface and Glass Cleaner. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to soften and break down grime. Use a screwdriver wrapped with a rag to gently remove the gunk in tracks.

Clean any other furniture: Wet dust because dry dusting just moves it around the room, using a warm water moistened microfibre cloth and Multi-Surface and Glass Cleaner.

Clean doors, knobs and light switch plates: Wipe any and all down, using a warm water moistened microfibre cloth and Multi-Surface and Glass Cleaner.

Clean walls: Wipe down walls with a warm water moistened microfibre cloth and diluted All-Purpose Cleanser or Orange Power Cleaner.

Clean the floors: Move the furniture and do a thorough vacuum. Clean floors with heavily diluted All-Purpose Cleanser preferably with a removable, washable floor cotton cloth.

Complete with a vase of fresh flowers.
